ADAPTED GRAN CANARIA
The beautiful island of Gran Canaria receives with open arms everybody that approaches to visit and has a lot to offer to visitors.
Gran Canaria receives with enthusiasm travelers with reduced mobility, offering multiple adapted hotels that make it a key tourist destination accessible in Spain. The Administration is also making significant efforts to promote accessibility in tourism in public spaces such as beaches, thus contributing to the provision of adapted travels.
The second island of the archipelago by population has beautiful natural corners to discover: beach, mountains, heritage, and fun.
In the island’s capital, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the beach of Las Canteras is located, an accessible beach that is included on the the most important urban beaches in Europe and that, with its more than 2 kilometers of fine sand, constitutes a referent for inhabitants and visitors. You can enjoy a pleasant climate and calm waters throughout the year in the Cantera’s.
You can find wonderful accessible beaches on the island of Gran Canaria, ideal to enjoy the sun and the sea, with golden or roasted sands:
- Within the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, you can also find, in addition to the beach of Las Canteras, the beach of Las Alcaravaneras.
- The following beaches are located in the north of the island Playa de Las Nieves in the municipality of Agaete, Sardina Beach in Gáldar, El Puertillo and Los Charcones in Arucas.
- In the eastern part of Gran Canaria, Melenara in the municipality of Telde, El Burrero beach in Ingenio and the Playa de Arinaga in Agüimes.
- While in the southern area are the beach of Las Burras, Maspalomas and Playa del Inglés in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana and Playa de Mogán and Amadores in Mogán.

The Maspalomas Special Nature Reserve, located in the south of the island, is a place of unprecedented beauty and diversity that is the largest tourist center of Gran Canaria. In the south, you can also enjoy the offshore promenade of Meloneras, right next to the emblematic Lighthouse of Maspalomas.
On the southwest coast, we find another interesting place, the town of Mogán. With its unique port, it is known as the little Venice. It is a place where to enjoy the tranquility and relax taking a stroll through its picturesque streets.
Other renowned places of Gran Canaria are the Rural Park of the Nublo, the old town of Vegueta, the village of Agaete with the nearby Puerto de la Nieves or the Museum and Archaeological Park of the Cueva Pintada.
